John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Commentary; This promise from God, that whoever believes in Jesus The Christ should not perish but have everlasting life is perhaps the most significant promise we could hope to stand upon! Irrespective of health, financial or other of this physical world's realities you may be struggling with right now, understand that once you leave this fallen world to go be with The Father, you have His promises of eternal life outside of the pain and suffering that you may be presently experiencing!

2 Samuel 14:14

Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But that is not what God desires; rather, he devises ways so that a banished person does not remain banished from him.

Commentary;  It is inevitable; we will all eventually die. The question is where then will you spend eternity; with our Father or apart from Him? He has created a path to Him through His son Jesus, so that even a sinner can then be forgiven and be accepted into Heaven to spend eternity with our Father God, our Lord Jesus and the other saints!

2 kings 17:38-39

Do not forget the covenant I have made with you, and do not worship other gods. Rather, worship the Lord your God; it is He who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.”

Commentary;  Our Father God is a jealous God. He very clearly and repeatedly tells those who genuinely believe in Him to only worship Him. Do not worship any saints, any idols, nature, etc. By staying loyal and true to our Father God you can trust that He will remain  true to you!

2 kings 19:27-28

“‘But I know where you are and when you come and go and how you rage against me. Because you rage against me and because your insolence has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will make you return by the way you came.’

Commentary;  There is nothing that you can hide from our Father God. He knows everything that you are thinking. If your thoughts do not conform to His precepts, He knows it. Which is why we all need to place all of our burdens on Jesus The Christ, God's only begotten son, because Jesus is the only buffer between our flawed nature and God's perfect nature.

Nahum 1:3

The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished.

Commentary;  If everyone understood the nature of our Lord God, that it typically takes a lot to anger Him BUT, in the end, the unrepentant along with the habitual sinner will be punished.

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him,

Commentary;  When you give up your "worldly life" to follow Jesus you will receive eternal life as He has promised. If you don't give up your "worldly life" then you are destined to spend eternity permanently separated from our Father God.

mark 8:36-38

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

Commentary;  Often times we lose sight of what the final victory is while chasing things of this world all the time not following the precepts our Lord Jesus has laid out for us. Peer pressure can result in a new or weak believer to hide, i.e. or be ashamed of following Jesus. If Jesus is ashamed of someone to the Father, it will not be good!!

Luke 1:31-33

You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

Commentary;  Our Father God has fierce anger against those who sin. However, given that we are all sinners, and have fallen short of His expectations, He sent Jesus, His only begotten son, to act as a "buffer" between Him and us, which is why it is so important that everyone genuinely accepts Jesus as their Lord and Master as Jesus is the only way we can achieve acceptance from God given His unwavering standards. When God looks at us, He sees Jesus, not the sinners that we are.

The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

“The day of the Lord is near for all nations.
As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head.

Matthew 28:18-20

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Commentary;  Often times adults can over think the gift of salvation genuinely believing in our Lord Jesus provides. He clearly promises that unless we approach His gift of salvation as would a child we will not be saved.

Proverbs 14:2

He who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord,
But he who is perverse in his ways despises Him.

Romans 5:3-5

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;  and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Romans 5:14-15

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.

Commentary; Without the salvation freely given by our Lord Jesus, The Christ, all would perish. Those who genuinely accept Jesus' free gift will spend eternity with our Father God, whereas those who don't, won't.

Proverbs 16:4

The Lord has made all for Himself, Yes, even the wicked for the day of doom.

Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

Commentary; Sin entered the entire world through 1-man, Adam. Eternal salvation was freely made available to the entire world through 1-man, Jesus, The Christ.

Romans 5:20-21

Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Commentary; For while we all were sinners, our Father God sent His Son, Jesus, The Christ, to save all from their sinful nature. Grace is receiving something that is not deserved; given mankind's sinful nature, a path to salvation was not deserved, but God did it anyway because He loves all of His creation.

Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’

Commentary; It is necessary to genuinely believe in Jesus, The Christ, that He is Lord and Master over all, before He returns because, once He returns, the door to obtaining eternal salvation will no longer be open.

Isaiah 29:18-19

In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book,
And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness. The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, And the poor among men shall rejoice In the Holy One of Israel.

Commentary; Once Jesus, who is the Holy One of Israel, returns, those who genuinely believe in Him will no longer suffer from illnesses, diseases or infirmities.

Luke 13:28-30

There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.”

Commentary; During the last days, only those who genuinely believe in The Lord will achieve eternal salvation and spend eternity with God, The Father; God, The Son; and God, The Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 30:12-14

Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel: “Because you despise this word, And trust in oppression and perversity, And rely on them, Therefore this iniquity shall be to you Like a breach ready to fall, A bulge in a high wall, Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant. And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern.”

Commentary; Those who deny the truth of Jesus, The Christ, will spend eternity separated from God, The Father; God, The Son; and God, The Holy Spirit.

Luke 13:31-33

On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, “Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You.” And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem.

Commentary; Jesus promised to be resurrected on the third day following His crucifixion.

Isaiah 30:15

For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel:

“In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”

Commentary; The Lord promises that those who genuinely depend upon Him, will find eternal peace and satisfaction.

Luke 13:34-35

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ”

Commentary; Jesus, The Christ, will judge everyone upon His return.

Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

Commentary; The Lord does not wish that anyone perishes. He gives everyone adequate time to acknowledge that Jesus is The Christ, and is sovereign over all things.

Romans 1:18-19

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

Commentary; The Lord promises to punish everyone who refuses His free offer for salvation and who refuses to repent of their sins.

Isaiah 32:7-8

Also the schemes of the schemer are evil; He devises wicked plans To destroy the poor with lying words, Even when the needy speaks justice. But a generous man devises generous things, And by generosity he shall stand.

Commentary; The Lord promises to reward those who are generous.

Romans 1:20-23

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

Commentary; The evidence of God's sovereignty is everywhere. The Lord promises to punish those who refuse to genuinely acknowledge that God is sovereign over all things.

Revelation 7:9-10

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Commentary; Only those who follow our Lord Jesus, The Christ, will spend eternity with Father God, with Jesus, His only begotten Son, and with the Holy Spirit.
