And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Romans 7:2-3
For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man.
Commentary; Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to replace the law. God's laws must be followed.

If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. flesh?
Romans 7:4-6
Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.
Commentary; Those who genuinely believe in Jesus, The Christ, have died to their former sins and sinful lives and will spend eternity with; God, The Father; God, The Son; and God, The Holy Spirit.

The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Commentary; The Lord will bless those who genuinely follow His instructions regarding keeping the Sabbath.
Romans 7:7-12
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.
Commentary; The holy law reveals the sin that needs to be repudiated.
Isaiah 59:1-3
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. Commentary; Those who genuinely believe in Jesus, The Christ, and who genuinely follow His precepts, will be blessed. Those who don't, will not be blessed.
Romans 7:13-14
Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Commentary; Those who refuse to repudiate their sins, along with their sinful lives, will not be blessed.

Commentary; Ever since Adam and Eve's original sin in the garden resulted in mankind's resulting sinful nature, unless resolved, disqualifies him/her from spending eternity with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which is why Father God sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, to be mankind's propitiation for every sin.
Romans 7:18-20
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
Commentary; Those who haven't invited Jesus, The Christ, into their lives, to be their Lord and Master, are destined to perish as they will be ruled by their sinful nature rather than being ruled by Father God's righteousness.

I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Commentary; Every human being is born with an inherent sin nature. Only a genuine belief in the sovereignty of the Lord Jesus, The Christ, can remove all sins.

Commentary; The scriptures reveal the true nature of the Lord.

I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew…

Commentary; The Lord will defend those who genuinely believe in Him, and who genuinely follow His precepts.
Romans 11:5-6
Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
Commentary; A person can only receive salvation through the grace of God. A person cannot receive salvation by "doing good works" because that would mean that salvation can be earned, which it cannot.

“The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the Lord.
Commentary; The Lord will bless those who genuinely believe in Him, and who genuinely follow His precepts.

What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written: “God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day.” And David says: “Let their table become a snare and a trap, A stumbling block and a recompense to them. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, And bow down their back always.”

Commentary; The Lord will send His Holy Spirit to be with every generation who genuinely believes in Him, and who genuinely follows His precepts.
Romans 11:11-12
I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!
Commentary; Father God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, extended His free offer for salvation to every person in the world, requiring only that they genuinely accept Jesus, Father God's only begotten Son, as their Lord and Master.

Commentary; Jesus, The Christ, is Lord over all. He is the Light of the World.
Romans 11:13-15
For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry, if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. Commentary; Father God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, will never forsake the Jews.
Isaiah 60:10-11
“The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, And their kings shall minister to you; For in My wrath I struck you, But in My favor I have had mercy on you. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.
